Birmingham nonprofit Vapor Ministries is preparing to open its fourth Alabama thrift store location while getting started on a fifth.

The small chain has been in operation since 2018 with a mission to “establish sustainable centers for alleviating poverty and multiplying disciples in third-world environments” by selling gently used clothing, household items, books, sporting goods, furniture, and more in a boutique shopping experience.

Vapor’s 16,000 sq. ft. Pell City location, which is expected to open sometime within the next couple of months, will be its biggest store yet, according to a recent Facebook post.

The store, located at 807 Martin Street South, started accepting donations last week and is hosting onsite interviews from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 26-27 and Oct. 3-4.
