A Baldwin County construction company has volunteered for an immigration inspection as part of a partnership with the government.
Federal agents inspected what will be the future site of the Baldwin County District Attorney’s office in Bay Minette Thursday after Rolin Construction offered to do a voluntary inspection, according to a news release from the Baldwin County Commission.
“Rolin Construction believes these efforts not only help bring the construction industry into compliance but also create opportunities for hard-working migrant laborers seeking to become legal members of the workforce,” the company said in the statement.
The county said it was in support of the collaboration between the company and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
