PRINCETON, Indiana — A southern Indiana man was arrested Wednesday after police say he was caught speeding and found to have crystal meth inside his vehicle.

According to a release from the Princeton Police Department , on Sept. 17, the department, along with Indiana State Police and the DEA, began monitoring 42-year-old Levertes Goodwin, of Princeton, as he traveled from Chicago to Gibson County.

Police say they suspected Goodwin had acquired a "large amount" of meth from an unknown source of supply.

An ISP trooper eventually caught Goodwin speeding on US 41 near the town of Hazelton and pulled him over. An ISP K-9 alerted officers to the possible presence of drugs in the car after troopers smelled raw marijuana.
