NORMAL ( 25News Now ) - The State of Illinois is announcing the first company to take up space in Rivian’s previously announced supplier park in Normal.
OPmobility will assemble bumpers for Rivian’s new R2 vehicles , available to consumers in 2026.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity said OPmobility plans to make a significant capital investment with help from the DCEO’s Reimagining Energy and Vehicles in Illinois program , creating 81 full-time jobs.
