EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- You may notice some men wearing pink around town, and it's all for a good cause.
The American Cancer Society is gearing up for its Men Wear Pink Campaign. A kick-off event was held on Thursday in Evansville. All October, men are encouraged to wear pink to raise money for breast cancer research. Officials say all money goes to support the fight for a cure.
"It's what we use to help with the research, to help with just the awareness, getting people out there,” Katrinka Rynder said. “It also helps us with some other programs that we have, the wigs, help people with their wigs. it might help with some transportation, to and from your appointment. Everything is marked for breast cancer."
