CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Clarksburg City Council met Thursday evening with a full agenda, addressing several community and administrative issues.
During the meeting, the council approved a letter of support to be submitted to the Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department, backing amendments to Harrison County’s Clean Indoor Air Regulation to allow cigar bars and hookah lounges to be permitted in the area. The law, originally adopted in 2008, prohibits smoking in indoor public spaces across Harrison County, including restaurants and bars.
