WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - A Divide County prosecutor dropped an attempted murder charge against a Williston man on Friday.

Johnny Tester is accused of stabbing an individual in Crosby 15 times. Divide County States Attorney Seymour Jordan says the victim was hospitalized and survived.

Both Jordan and defense attorney Ty Skarda agreed to drop the charge, with Tester pleading guilty to terrorizing, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.

Northwest District Court Judge Chas Neff Jr. ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
