CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) received the "Legislator of the Year" award for the year 2024 by the Vietnam Veterans of America organization, according to a release.

The nonprofit, which has 610 chapters across the country, said they chose Blumenthal due to his leadership and service to America's veterans as a Ranking Member of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
