SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A 27-year-old man was pronounced dead on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a Southington crash on Saturday, Sept. 13, state police said.

Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 691 on Saturday night, where serious injuries were reported.

Officials said they needed to perform extrication, and the westbound lanes were closed for the investigation.
