CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) - A New Hampshire man is facing charges for threatening Gov. Kelly Ayotte.
The investigation began late last month after authorities say they got a report that Tristan Anderson, 22, of Hooksett, had allegedly sent concerning messages over Snapchat saying he would target the Republican governor with a weapon of mass destruction. Police say he also posted pictures of tubes full of nuts and bolts to use as pipe bombs.
Anderson is behind bars and could face up to eight years if convicted.
The governor’s office has not commented.
