AVON, Ohio -- The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has released its 2025 Ohio School Report Cards, with Avon Local Schools scoring highest among Lorain County school districts.

The report cards are designed to highlight both progress and deficiencies of districts and schools across the state, giving school administrators insights into their performance at various levels and an understanding of areas where improvements are needed.

Of the 607 Ohio districts ranked, the highest-ranking school in Lorain County was Avon, coming in at 32nd in the state.

Avon Lake City Schools was ranked 53rd and North Ridgeville City Schools came in at 221st.
