SOUTH HADLEY — A group of 170 workers at Mount Holyoke College voted to ratify a contract that boosts their wages and ensures access to free legal services, their union announced Thursday.
The college and the workers’ union, Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ, reached a tentative agreement on Sept. 5 after workers took to the picket lines and held a 24-hour strike outside the college the day after Labor Day, claiming the institution engaged in unfair labor practices.
