BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Belle Mehus Auditorium is getting some upgrades thanks to two grants from the Historical Society totaling $100,000.

City staff are periodically replacing carpeting and railings. The goal is to keep beautifying the auditorium while keeping its historical charm and relevance.

“It does keep that intimate setting. You know, we tried to keep the color palette the same,” said Operations Director Robert U. Trimble.

Shows will go on as scheduled. The Belle also offers a “Name A Seat” program to help with renovation costs.
