SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) - Storm debris pickup continues in City Council Zones 2 and 4, with Springfield Public Works reporting pickup is 82% complete across the city. Debris sweeps in Zones 1 and 3 are complete.

“We’ve collected about 38,834 cubic yards of debris since the sweeps began in August. That’s about 3,800 dump truck loads removed from our neighborhoods,” says Public Works Assistant Director Eric Claussen. “We are hopeful pickup in the remaining areas will progress quickly and anticipate being fully complete with the city-wide debris sweep by the end of October.”

Residents in Zones 1 and 3 with April 29 or June 29 storm debris still at the curb since their zone deadlines should call the Citizen Resource Center at 864-1010 to report.
