WASHINGTON — DC Police’s Harbor Patrol may have thought they’d bitten off more than they could chew when they responded to a report of an alligator in the busy Wharf neighborhood.
When they arrived, they found a specimen that was a little more bite-sized.
An MPD spokesperson was caught up in the spirit of the incident, saying the department’s “investi-gators” safely caught the alligator and turned him over to animal control.
It is currently unclear just how the alligator got to the Wharf neighborhood.
