UPrep 35, Fairport 26

UPrep took down previously unbeaten Fairport in dramatic fashion.

With seconds left on the clock, Fairport lined up for a potential game-winning field goal. As the ball went up, quarterback Gavin White blocked it, and Ja'yvion Sampson took it 70 yards to the end zone for the touchdown to seal the game.

It was a back-and-forth battle down to the final minute. At half, it was tied 14-14.

With five minutes left in the third quarter, Aiden Downs made a 39-yard field goal to give Fairport the lead 17-14.

Three minutes later, UPrep responded with a touchdown from Briyceton Thomas on a 1-yard rush. The Griffins led 20-17.

To close the scoring in the third quarter, Downs made another field goal to tie it up 20-20.
