A public memorial service to celebrate "the remarkable life and enduring legacy" of conservative activist Charlie Kirk will be held Sunday, Sept. 21, in Arizona.

Turning Point USA, which advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses, said in a post on X the event in Glendale, Arizona will honor its co-founder Kirk's life.

Kirk, 31, was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City. The suspected shooter, publicly identified by authorities as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody Thursday night, Sept. 11, more than 24 hours after Kirk's killing, and faces seven felony charges as Utah prosecutors seek the death penalty.

What time is Charlie Kirk's memorial service?

Doors for Kirk's memorial service in Glendale are expected to open at 8 a.m. local time (11 a.m. ET) and the program is planned to begin at 11 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET), according to Turning Point.

The event will take place at State Farm Stadium, the home of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals.

USA TODAY is set to stream the memorial service live. The stream is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET on Sept. 21.

CBS News

CBS News will offer live coverage of the memorial service of Charlie Kirk on Sunday, Sept. 21, starting approximately 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT, a network spokesperson said in a statement to USA TODAY. CBS' coverage can be accessed on cbsnews.com/live, Paramount Plus, and the CBS News App.

CBS News’ Nancy Chen will anchor the show with Kris Van Cleave reporting live from State Farm Stadium.

CNN’s coverage of Kirk's memorial will begin at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT with Pamela Brown and Boris Sanchez co-anchoring the network’s coverage live from Washington. CNN reporters Arlette Saenz, Kevin Liptak and Josh Campbell will be live on the ground from State Farm Stadium.

CNN’s coverage will be available across platforms including stream live for pay TV subscribers via  CNN.com, CNN connected TV, mobile apps, and on CNN Max for HBO Max subscribers.

Fox News

Fox News Media has a full day of coverage planned around Charlie Kirk's memorial, starting at 6 a.m. ET, with a special edition of "Fox & Friends Weekend" with Rachel Campos-Duffy, Charlie Hurt and Griff Jenkins hosting live from outside State Farm Stadium.

The show will be followed by Maria Bartiromo anchoring "Sunday Morning Futures" live from outside of the arena at 10 a.m. ET.

At 2 p.m. ET, the network will present live special coverage of the memorial proceedings, titled "Remembering Charlie Kirk," presented by Kayleigh McEnany and Lawrence Jones with Fox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, reporting live from inside the stadium.

ABC News

ABC News Live will stream the event at ABCNews.go.com, on ABC News apps and across streaming platforms, the news outlet announced.

NewsNation

NewsNation will present special live coverage of Kirk’s memorial service on Sept. 21 from 1-5 p.m. ET, the network said in a news release. Chief Washington anchor Leland Vittert will host the coverage with national correspondents Ali Bradley and Jessica Kartalija reporting live from Glendale's State Farm Stadium.

Following the memorial, anchor Nichole Berlie will host a special edition of NewsNation Now to recap the memorial from 5-10 p.m. ET.

Viewers can catch NewsNation's coverage live in the app and on the website, as well as across its social media platforms.

Who will attend Charlie Kirk's funeral?

President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, high ranking Trump administration officials and other conservative figures are expected to attend the memorial service in Arizona. The president is also scheduled to speak at the event, according to the list of speakers announced by Turning Point. Kirk was a close political ally of Trump, and the latter became a fixture and a keynote speaker at many Turning Point Action events.
