BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Two occupants were rescued from an overnight house fire in Bridgeport on Saturday.
At around 1:00 a.m., the Bridgeport Fire Department arrived at the 100 Block of Bick Terrace for the working blaze.
Upon arrival, firefighters witnessed Bridgeport police removing a victim from the house, prompting them to begin an aggressive attack on the structure.
Fire crews located a second occupant inside the burning building. One victim has severe burns to the upper part of their body, the other has minor smoke inhalation. Both were taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
The flames were brought under control within 30 minutes, and the fire marshal’s office is investigating.
