Two people were rescued from an early morning structure fire in Bridgeport, officials said .
Around 1:05 a.m. Saturday morning, firefighters with the Bridgeport Fire Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Bick Terrace, for reports of an active structure fire.
Upon arrival, Bridgeport firefighters found police officers already on scene removing one person from the building. Firefighters then located a second person during their search, according to fire officials.
Both people were transported by ambulance to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment, fire officials said. Their status was unknown at this time.
The fire is currently under investigation, according to fire officials.
