Construction has started on Goose Fair's rides

The countdown is officially on for 2025's Goose Fair , as convoys of lorries and caravans are rolling into Nottingham's Forest Recreation Ground.

The fair's mascot Goosey has been perched at a nearby roundabout since the beginning of the month, and now construction has begun for several rides ahead of the opening day, Friday, September 26.

The famous 10-day fun fair will have a host of new rides this year, including the steampunk-themed Time Machine and Skyfall, the world’s tallest portable drop tower, standing at an impressive 80 metres high.
