Rain chances have finally returned to regional forecasts for the next week, with hopes that it can curb deepening drought conditions.
Above normal weekend start temperatures turn more seasonable beginning the new week, and may even trend cooler into the 70s over the back half of the week.
After touching the 90s again today, highs will gradually notch lower each day to around 80 by Wednesday.
The first half of the week offers the best chance for heavier rains. Total average amounts from 1 to 3 inches are anticipated to accumulate by next weekend.
Rain chances rise to 50 percent Saturday night and Sunday; 60 percent Sunday night and 70 percent on Monday. More showers are still possible through Friday.
