CHEYENNE — City Drug is under new ownership following last year’s legal battle, during which the Wyoming Board of Pharmacy ordered former owner Kelsey James to sell.
Lucas Haugh, former City Drug operations manager, is the new owner, and has renamed the downtown Cheyenne drugstore City Drug Pharmacy.
After an investigation that took place in early 2024, the local business entered into a lengthy legal battle, after which James was ordered to sell the pharmacy, and her pharmaceutical license was suspended for three years.
According to previous WTE reporting , the Board of Pharmacy held a meeting March 14, 2024, when Senior Investigator Liz Wood found that City Drug did not have the necessary equipment to perform sterile compounding, which is the process of mixing, combining or altering
