VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - The South Georgia Medical Center Health Emergency Services has earned the Safe Ride Champion Designation for pediatric transport safety.

The award is a top honor given to EMS agencies committed to protecting children in emergencies.

The award was given to celebrate the organization for going above and beyond by training 97 team members and going outside of their service area to attend specialized training.

The recognition marks a major step toward pediatric readiness and sets the bar for child safety across Georgia EMS.
