TEMPE, Ariz. — A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed on a light rail in Tempe, according to authorities.

The Tempe Police Department said the stabbing happened just after midnight Saturday on the light rail near Apache Boulevard and McClinton Drive.

Police said two men got into a fight. During the fight, one of the men hit the other man in the head with a water bottle. The man who was struck in the head was in fear for his life and stabbed other man.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
