Chris Davies was pleased to see Lyndon Dykes back on the scoresheet after the Birmingham City striker missed out on a deadline day transfer three weeks ago.
The Scotland international stepped off the bench in the 87th minute and headed home Blues’ winner against Swansea in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Dykes almost joined Hibernian at the end of the summer window but a deal couldn’t be agreed and Davies has welcomed the 29-year-old back into the fold.
“I spoke to him when he was away with Scotland as the window closed,” said Davies. “He wants to be here, work hard, fight for his place and he’s clearly showed today what contribution he can make.
“I’m so pleased he's here with us. He can give us that something a little bit different with his size and physicality.
