COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police placed a wrong-way driver into custody Saturday after a pursuit on I-25.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), at 2:34 a.m., officers were traveling northbound on I-25, exiting at Cimarron, and saw a vehicle enter southbound I-25 on the northbound off-ramp.

Officers say they conducted a U-turn and initiated a traffic stop, but the suspect vehicle did not stop.

Police initiated a pursuit as the vehicle initially accelerated away from officers. The vehicle eventually stopped on the overpass at Tejon Street, and the driver, Karan Maan, was taken into custody without incident.

Police said alcohol was a factor in this incident. There were no injuries.
