MINNEAPOLIS — Police announced that one of the victims in the mass shooting last week has died days after the incident.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, Adam John Peterson died at the hospital Saturday morning from injuries he sustained in the mass shooting on September 15.

The shooting happened near East Lake Street and Stevens Avenue South just before noon on September 15. Upon arrival at the scene, police located five men with gunshot wounds.

One man had life-threatening injuries and was taken to Hennepin Healthcare. Three men who suffered non-life-threatening injuries were also brought to the hospital.

Authorities located the fifth man with minor injuries. After evaluation by EMS, he was released at the scene.
