GREENSBORO, N.C. — Three men have been arrested after a shooting Friday afternoon near a Greensboro intersection that struck a bus carrying elementary-aged students and briefly put two Guilford County schools on lockdown.

Joshua Isaac Fountain, 27, Malik Justin Sampson, 24, and Marvin Angelo Waters III, 22, face charges including: assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony conspiracy, discharge of a weapon into a moving vehicle, assault of a school employee, and discharge of a firearm in the city. All three are held without bond at the Guilford County Jail and are scheduled for their first court appearance Monday, Sept. 22. Investigators said the shooting was not random and that the suspects knew the victims.

Additional charges may be forthcoming, police said.
