The Premier League have released a statement confirming exactly why Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, was sent-off against Chelsea .

Casemiro was already on a booking before he scored United 's second goal. However, he was dismissed when he challenged Andrey Santos near to the halfway line.

Despite United's dismay that the Brazil midfielder was sent-off, the Premier League has explained why the decision was made.
