BERKELEY COUNTY — The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is leading a search for a missing diver at Bushy Park Boat Landing.
In a post on X, the sheriff's office said its marine unit responded to the boat landing for a diver in distress earlier in the afternoon. Chief Deputy Jeremy Baker told The Post and Courier that the call came in around noon and that the diver had not surfaced. Several agencies are involved in the search, Baker said.
In a post on Facebook , Berkeley County officials said the saltwater side of the Bushy Park Boat Landing is closed until further notice while the search is underway.
