BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - It’s been a rocky week in Blacksburg ... shakeups on the sideline, struggles on the field, and big questions about where the Hokies go from here. But as Virginia Tech took the field Saturday afternoon, one thing was clear: the spirit of Hokie Nation hasn’t gone anywhere.

“Obviously the last week has been a lot of turmoil and change, but we’re just here trying to support the team,” said Ian Anderson, a Virginia Tech fan and alum.

Students say they see this season as a chance to turn the page and prove the team can still fight.

“I think it’s pivotal, honestly. We want to see a new chapter and for them to turn things around from the previous games. We all believe in our team,” said VT student Luz Pinto.
