DETROIT, MI - Two people are dead after an early morning crash in Detroit.
Detroit Police officers responded at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, to the area of Gratiot Ave. and Mt. Elliott St. where there was a crash involving an SUV and motorcycle, according to police.
Two men in their 30s died in the crash. One of the men was a passenger in the SUV and the other man was the motorcyclist.
The driver of the SUV, a woman in her 30s, was taken to a local hospital for medical attention and placed in police custody.
Alcohol is believed to have been a possible factor, police said, adding that they are still early into the investigation.
The incident is being investigated by the Detroit Police Fatal Squad Team.
