WICKENBURG, AZ (AZFamily) — Three people are dead after a serious crash near Wickenburg Saturday morning.

At about 11:15 a.m., first responders were dispatched to a crash on US Highway 93 near State Route 93 on a report of a serious crash.

Responding crews found two heavily damaged vehicles and multiple injured people.

One person was air evacuated, and two were transported by ambulance to a trauma center, according to Williamson Valley-Bagdad Fire and Rescue. Three people involved died.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and Wickenburg Police Department are currently on the scene.

Highway 93 will be closed for an extended period of time. Motorists heading south to Phoenix can travel westbound on Interstate 40 to Interstate 17. Those heading north
