INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has issued a defiant response after the WNBA fined her for criticizing the referees who oversaw the Fever's first-round victory over the Atlanta Dream.
After the Fever's victory Thursday night to advance to the semifinal round of the WNBA Playoffs, Clark posted a four-word reply to the Indiana Fever's post celebrating the win: "Refs couldn't stop us."
This followed pandemonium inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse as Lexie Hull, Kelsey Mitchell, Odyssey Sims and Aliyah Boston guided sixth-seeded Indiana to victory over the third-seeded Atlanta Dream to advance past the first round. Mitchell, who was recently announced as a WNBA MVP finalist, led the way for the Fever with a game-high 19 points.
