ST. LOUIS — Helping young men in St. Louis see what’s possible is the goal of Central Baptist Church’s Rites of Passage program , which has been shaping futures for more than 30 years.
This weekend, the program hosted a STEM and Trades Career Fair at Harris-Stowe State University’s Early Childhood Development and Parenting Education Center.
The event welcomed boys in grades 7 through 12 and featured sessions in healthcare and therapy, veterinary medicine, data science, biotech engineering, cybersecurity, forensic science, artificial intelligence, and culinary arts.
Students also had the chance to explore trade careers, like architecture and electrical work, through interactive presentations. Post-high school scholarship applications and prizes were also available.
