INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD says there was an officer-involved shooting Saturday afternoon on Indy's north side.
According to IMPD, around 6:23 p.m. on Sept. 20, officers were called to the 2400 block of East 38th Street on a report of a disturbance with a weapon. When officers arrived, they say an altercation with the suspect occurred, leading to an officer-involved shooting.
Police say the suspect then fled the scene before he was captured and arrested in the 3900 block of North Tacoma Avenue.
No officers, suspects or citizens were injured in the shooting. Police say there is no current threat to the community.
