MARYLAND HEIGHTS — The thought occurred to Pattonville senior running back Larry Martin as he slashed through the offensive line.
Martin considered dropping down at the 1-yard line to bleed more clock, but as he looked over his shoulder at the sideline, he knew what to do
That, and his teammates were shouting the answer.
"I saw everyone telling me to go, so I had to go and get there," Martin said.
Martin's three second-half rushing touchdowns Saturday helped Pattonville surge past Ritenour for a 35-27 victory at Pattonville High.
Pattonville (2-2) has won nine successive matchups against the Huskies (2-2), with its last setback being a 27-21 loss on Oct. 7, 2016.
