OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The Elks Lodge has been a part of the Scarboro community since the 1940s and has helped provide for the community for decades, according to to members of the Atomic Lodge 1301.

Now, they're caring for the community in new ways by building a new enrichment center.

The Elks have been working with community partners for a $1.9 million grant that was awarded to them by the Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management.

The DOE gives out 12 grants like this each year to communities across the country.
