PHOENIX — Body camera footage released by Buckeye police captures the tense moments after a 77-year-old man collapsed and flatlined during a Father’s Day church service.

Charles Davis suffered a heart attack while attending church with his wife, Roselyn. He remembers sitting down after singing when everything went dark.

“While I was at church, praising the Lord, having a good time, and then I sat down,” Davis told 12News. “The pastor comes over, and he said 'He’s having a heart attack'… after that, I really don’t know what happened.”

The pastor immediately began CPR before police and paramedics arrived. Officers and medics continued life-saving treatment and were able to restore Davis’ pulse before rushing him to the hospital.

“I was like 'Oh my God, Jesus help me,'” Roselyn recalled.
