BLOOMINGTON – Coming into the season, the consensus biggest question mark on Indiana's remade roster was the defensive line. Losing a couple of standouts in CJ West and James Carpenter would be difficult for any team to replace.

Tonight, IU has begun to answer those questions and has done so emphatically. Against an Illinois offensive line that came into the season with a lot of hype after returning all five starters from a season ago, the Hoosiers spent much of the first half shoving their way into the Illini backfield and wreaking havoc.
