LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The sixth annual Walk a Mile in Our Shoes event was held on Saturday to honor those who lost their lives to gun violence.
Grieving parents, along with city and state leaders, came together this afternoon to discuss the tolls of gun violence and how to put a stop to it.
Today’s event was hosted by The Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters of Kentucky.
Residents gathered outside the LMPD headquarters on Jefferson Street to discuss potential solutions to counter the violence in Louisville.
