A suspect is in custody following a mass shooting at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, police say.

According to WMUR, one person died, while another was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. Others sustained non-gunshot-related injuries.

The Nashua Police Department initially reported that two armed suspects were at large. After detaining a suspect at around 8:30 p.m., police reviewed the surveillance footage and confirmed that only a single shooter was involved.

Police said there is currently no danger to the public.

At about 8:45 p.m., Nashua Alderman-at-Large Melbourne Moran, Jr. sent out an email announcing that he and his family were locked down during the mass shooting. He asked that the suspects surrender peacefully to the authorities.
