Moral victories were nice, but sooner (and not just the Oklahoma kind) than later, the bottom line has to change for the Auburn Tigers if they are to compete in the SEC

There are no moral victories. Not in the SEC. Not at an Auburn program with nine national championships. Not in Year Three of your rebuild. Not against an Oklahoma program in its second year in the conference. Not when you spent all that money to upgrade your roster to move from the bottom tier of the league back toward the top.

So there should be no joy in the Loveliest Village on the Plains after Oklahoma 24, Auburn 17.
