Jackson Arnold may have been eager to face Oklahoma, his former team, but his return to familiar territory didn’t go as planned.

Oklahoma’s defense sacked Arnold 10 times, setting a school record in its 24-17 victory over Auburn Saturday afternoon.

“I’d rather watch the film before I say anything on that. Obviously, some of the credit goes to Oklahoma and their front. But that’s way too many. We’ve got to go back to work and get that corrected,” Auburn coach Hugh Freeze said postgame.

The Sooners sacked Arnold seven times in the first half, doing so without edge rusher R Mason Thomas, who was serving a first-half suspension from a targeting call in last week’s game.
