Kate O’Connor emerged as one of Ireland’s shining track and field stars. More so, because she has been drawing attention not just for her performances but also for her journey through setbacks and triumphs. Olympic aspirations were derailed by injury in Tokyo. But did that stop her from continuing her story on the track? No. But yet again, she narrowly avoided another setback before the Paris Olympic trials.
