Florida football's defense suffered two in-game injuries. Late in the third quarter, the offense joined in the misery.

Wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant was taken to the locker room after a hard hit from two Miami defenders. Sturdivant caught a critical fourth-down pass from DJ Lagway and was immediately brought down by two Hurricanes .

After getting up, Sturdivant sat back down on the field. When he got up, team staff took him to the locker room for evaluation. The 5-yard grab was his first catch of the game.

The redshirt senior and UCLA transfer has eight catches for 76 yards in his first three games as a Gator. Florida is down in wide receiver depth due to a leg injury from five-star freshman Dallas Wilson Jr.
