Texas quarterback Arch Manning must have heard the haters talking about his disappointing 2025 start.
During his team's home game against Sam Houston State on Saturday night, Manning rushed in a touchdown to go up 14-0 late in the first quarter and decided to stare down Sam Houston linebacker Antavious Fish after the score.
CLEMSON: Is Dabo Swinney on the hot seat?
Fish tried to tackle Manning on the play and failed to get him down, and Manning seemed to let him know about it.
The two started exchanging words after Manning's petty taunt but were quickly separated before it got out of hand.
TRENT DILFER: Wait... why was he on his phone before UAB-Tennessee game?
Look, Manning has as much pressure on him as anybody in the country, and you can't blame him for embracing a little more edge to his game. However, it's a gimme game against Sam Houston State. Act like you've been there!
On one hand, good for Manning for standing on business after taking so much external heat for how he's played this season.
On the other hand, perhaps a Sam Houston defender just trying his best isn't the right guy to taunt.
