The former Oklahoma football quarterback, who transferred to Auburn this past offseason, took 10 sacks in the Sooners' 24-17 win over the 25th-ranked Tigers on Saturday in Norman, Oklahoma. That marked a Sooners program record.
The biggest struggle for Arnold on the afternoon was dealing with the pressure, as highlighted by those 10 sacks. He also took a costly safety in the end zone on a tackle from OU defensive lineman R Mason Thomas on the Tigers' final drive of the night. John Mateer, who transferred from Washington State to Oklahoma over the offseason, had a 9-yard rushing touchdown to give OU a 22-17 lead on the Sooners' previous drive.
