So this is the new normal for Indiana football .

Last year was never a fluke — you saw it happen, I saw it happen, IU football happened last year — but did you really think it would be the Hoosiers ’ new normal? Didn’t seem fair to expect it. Didn’t even seem possible. A year ago the Hoosiers had a swaggy new coach with that swaggy new energy, and Curt Cignetti landed the perfect quarterback in the transfer portal. Clearly last season was doable for the Hoosiers, who went from a predicted finish of 17th in the 18-team Big Ten to the 2024 College Football Playoff .
