Waterford Mott got on the board first, but Notre Dame Prep reeled off the next five scores unanswered to beat the Corsairs 53-19 in Pontiac Friday night.

Geno Seets found Jordan White for a 43-yard TD reception that got Mott in front with 2:50 left in the first quarter, but ND Prep struck back on Sam Stowe’s 39-yard pass to Derek Roa, tying the game just 55 seconds later. A five-yard rushing score by Anthony Tartaglia was sandwiched between Stowe’s TD passes to Brody Sink and Owen Fulsher, all of which had the Irish leading by 20 points going into halftime.

The Seets-to-White connection produced another long score for Mott (64 yards), but otherwise the Irish were the better team on late downs and continued to find the end zone after halftime.
